California Motorsport Adventours A Day In The Dirt
MY ROLE
Director / Director of Photography / Editor
SUMMARY
We wanted this branded content piece to show, not tell, what sets CMA apart. Expert tour guides take you through parts of Mexico that tourists rarely get to see - whether that means riding sand dunes alongside the ocean or on the open plains of the Baja Peninsula.
We ended up giving the client 5 separate videos as a custom social media package. This included a long form video, four short 30 second videos, and a social posting calendar.
BEHIND THE PRODUCTION

Blackmagic URSA MINI 4.6K
Canon 70-200MM IS II
This project was a whirlwind blast into the world of sports action filming. We had an action packed 48 hours of dust, sweat, and pure Baja magic.
As DP on this project, I had to be really creative with the use of camera blocking and long lenses to chase the fast moving vehicles. A lot of the scenes I constructed were blocked in a manner to blow up the brilliant Baja background while simultaneously showing the speed of the riders. It was a challenge learning how to construct a scene that an audience can follow along with, and make it look epic at the same time.
