This was my first time shooting a script, so I learned the formal methods of script breakdown, budget & equipment orders, creating a shotlist and blocking diagrams, coordinating lighting with a gaffer, and working with the Director to capture his/her creative vision. I was able to coordinate and work in harmony with other specialized crew members to bring this video to life.

This was also my first time shooting on a RED. I fell in love immediately. The camera is so dynamic, I was so ecstatic to finally be capturing the images I wanted to see. I knew instantly that I'd be using the camera extensively in the future.

Because we were using the full length of a day to film, we had to control the amount of light coming in through the window. We ended up completely blocking the light out and using two HMIs to simulate daylight. We then used LEDs to balance out the shadows.
